We utilize pre-loaded digital audio with crisp, clear speakers to play recorded stories, lullabies, or simple narrative sequences. These are often activated by a soft-pull string or a squeeze sensor, making them easy for a parent or even an older infant to operate. The application is during quiet time, bedtime routines, or long car journeys, where the sound of a calm, rhythmic voice can captivate a baby's attention and lull them to sleep more effectively than music alone. We manufactured a plush book toy for a client that featured a different short bedtime story for each day of the week, narrated by a voice with a gentle cadence. Our design challenge was to ensure the speaker was positioned to direct sound clearly while being muffled by the plush material to maintain a soft audio quality. Content is carefully curated to be age-appropriate and calming.
